In the Great Hall

mft_042108_lobby.jpgNow that the weather has dried out a bit work is going gangbusters at the new midfield terminal. This photograph was taken a couple of days ago during a tour. It's taken from the middle of the lobby, looking towards the corridor leading to the concourse area. This should give you a feel for the sheer size of the building.

Meanwhile, Dustin wonders:

"When the new terminal is closer to completion, will there be an open house of any kind for the general public to come in and see the fruits of your labor? Also, from an employee standpoint, what kind of familiarization will there be for the airlines prior to commencing operations?

Yes and Yes. Besides a ribbon cutting ceremony, there will be a public open house. We're just beginning to do the event planning.

Employee orientation will happen, but that, too, is still in the planning stages.
