Trains, Planes and Automobiles

“Amtrak is on a roll.” So says the Wall Street Journal and here’s the hook for the story: Amtrak ridership is up on the east coast due to the “absolute horror show” of commercial aviation. Who could argue otherwise?

Meanwhile, the Senate in Oklahoma calls for a feasibility study for passenger rail service between Tulsa and Springfield. Perhaps Oklahoma lawmakers heard about the proposed rail service between Springfield and St. Louis. Amtrak had its say on that matter in May.
