Airlines Fight Flier's Rights Law

The airlines are fighting a New York state law the fines airlines for "stranding passengers on jets without adequate food, water or sanitation." That news comes from today's USA Today. The paper reports that the Air Transport Association, an airline trade group, wants a federal judge to stop the state law from going into effect. "The first-of-its-kind state law would require airlines to provide food, water, electricity and waste removal when a flight from a New York airport waits more than three hours to take off. It allows New York to fine airlines up to $1,000 per passenger if airlines don't comply."
